Room-filling output and low frequency extension below 20 Hz with audiophile refinement and musicality, SB-2000 Pro brings reference subwoofer performance to more people than ever from a compact cabinet measuring only 15-inches on all sides. Features all-new 12-inch high-excursion SVS driver and 550 watts RMS, 1,500+ watts peak power Sledge STA-550D amplifier with fully discrete MOSFET output. Harnessing the massive power while ensuring unerring control and room-energizing bass response is a 50 MHz Analog Devices Audio DSP. SB-2000 Pro also features the SVS subwoofer smartphone app for convenient control of volume, DSP functions, custom presets and more.

The winning ways of bass supremo SVS continue with another Best Buy from Home Cinema Choice. Hot on the heels of the triumph for the PB3000 in February 2020’s issue, the newly crowned Best Buy champion in the March edition is the fab SB2000 Pro: the sealed box design from SVS’s latest range intro. Reviewer Steve Withers concludes that “there are plenty of more affordable subs available, including some ported models that can mine the depths in an unruly fashion. But none are as sophisticated, accomplished or musical as the SB-2000 Pro. It’s a polished performer, capable of delivering deep bass from a compact cabinet, while simultaneously remaining controlled and fleet of foot. Cracking value.”

It used to be that subs were just for AV systems, and had nothing to do with hi-fi. But great bass should be great whether it's underpinning a movie or your favourite music. So we tested and confirmed the theory by sending the SB-2000Pro to audiophile bible Hi Fi Plus. In issue 188 Editor Alan Sircom said "This bass depth shows just how good a modern subwoofer can be, even in the context of audio nerdism... the flexibility of this subwoofer makes it a great addition to any system regardless of whether you are into John Coltrane or John Wick".

This means that SVS has claimed this top accolade for the fourth year in a row.
